A very nice sequel story for children. Pemba and Prince Alden were met at the
Blue
Forest
by a wizard who had a magic potion for
Pemba
to make her a Royal Rat. She was welcomed by the King who promptly started planning a wedding. But before they could be married, a strange young giant rat appeared in the castle with news of an impending invasion. Not only that, but he knew where all the missing giant rats had gone hiding in a mountain to escape the invasion force of the Shady Greys. With the assistance of a silver dragon, all the missing giant rats were rescued just in time for the royal wedding. But immediately afterwards, King Alden had to start planning for the battle. And very soon after that, the King and Queen had a little princess Princess Branna. But more trouble was coming! The Royal Family was captured by an evil merrat and had to be rescued. The nasty Shady Greys were advancing more quickly and King Alden had to come up with a plan! But before that- Queen Pemba had some exciting and unexpected news. I’ll leave the rest for you, gentle reader, to learn how King Alden plans to defend his kingdom. However, I will warn you: you’ll need to read the next book to know how it all comes out. And it won’t be out until next year! My granddaughter was NOT pleased and I’ve had to read both books twice so far. She was particularly captivated by the baby princess and enjoyed the royal rescue but isn’t yet interested in the coming battle. Now, I just need to remember to watch for the 3rd book. ~~ Catherine Book and Adrienne
