The Book of the Dragon
by Steven Brust
Tor, $15.99, 395 pp
Release Date: June 6, 2011
The Book of the Dragon incorporates Dragon and Issola.

Vlad Taltos finds himself in Dragon where no self-respecting assassin would - the middle of a war between two sorcerers who won't tell him what his role is, All he's got is a smart-mouthed winged lizard who may be smarter than he is.

In Issola, Vlad finds himself with missing friends who may be in the hands of the people who made the world of the Dragaeran Empire. Hmm, just what Vlad needs, a cosmic battle before his morning Klava.

Vlad Taltos lives in interesting times. Even Loiosh doesn't know what’s happening but somehow they muddle through with adventures and humor. You don't need the other two musketeers, Vlad has enough panache for every one. No plot description could encompass the adventures of Vlad but the reader is an integral part. If you like humor with your action and a wiseguy side kick, you'll love these two. I did. ~~ Pam Allan
