Spectyr continues the series begun with Geist

“I hate Geists and Ghasts and specters, but my partner and I are Deacons, our order sworn to protect the people from the paranormal bad guys from the Otherside. I am not fond of politics and intrigue. Merrick and I are ready for some action and jump at a chance to escort a delegation sent to Oranthal arrange for the Emperor's engagement. But nothing is easy or simple. A string of brutal murders have the city on edge and we are asked to investigate. The Emperor’s sister has released a cruel and vengeful goddess bent on destroying her perceived enemies...and there are both now and in ancient times, secrets within secrets. Fortunately for us, there is plenty of action, non-stop. I hope you all enjoy looking on.” So speaks Deacon Sorcha Faris...

This is the best paranormal thriller I've read in months. Fully developed characters, action well-plotted , fast and furious. I'll be going out looking for Geist today. I recommend collecting them all. Let the Rossin quote Tony the Tiger: It's great with teeth in it... Last one to the bookstore is a rotten egg. ~~ Pam Allan
