Fighting to Survive
by Rhiannon Frater
Tor, $14.99, 364pp
Release Date: November 8, 2011

Fighting to Survive is book two of As The World Dies.

The hundred or so survivors in the fortified heart of Ashley Oaks are running out of food and room. The hotel is perfect if they can get rid of the Zombies. A battle in the banquet room starts the struggle to clear the hotel and rescue teams bring supplies and more survivors. The bandits want the supplies and a supply of women. Travis and Juan know there is worse to come. Outside threats are only one problem, the mayor's failing health brings out a power struggle and a vicious attack on Katie results in vigilante action that shatters the rule of law. Juan is accused of murder. Beyond the walls, the zombies focus hungrily on the living.

How can the survivors succeed and who are the predators eyeing the fort?

One of the best horror stories I've read. The characters are strong, well-drawn and honest. A compelling story in a world gone mad. Like Horror? This is classic apocalypse worth collecting. Enjoy. ~~ Pam Allan
