This is the second book in Simon R Green’s newest series, Ghostfinders, following Ghost of a Chance.
JC Chance is the leader of the team from the Carnacki Institute. Melody Chambers, the nerd who keeps the equipment running, and Jack Palmer, pessimistic telepath, round out the team. Their mission is to find ghosts and lay them to rest.
The current mission involves a private research center with problems that have, so far, swallowed up both a police team and a national security team. Now it is up to our intrepid operatives to find out just what lurks inside and, hopefully, lay it to rest without getting caught themselves.
This is a delightful book, I enjoyed it so much I will be looking for the first one in the series as well as looking forward to future adventures. The characters are engaging, the clever dialog is a treat and the action is almost non-stop. Highly recommended. ~~ Stephanie L Bannon
