This begins the St. Croix Chronicles by the author of The Dark Mission Novels.

Cherry St. Croix passes as a well heeled heiress in the daylight world of London where her scientific bent makes her unrespectable. But in the other London , the London below the fog, she hunts down thieves, debters, and now a murderer. Each side of the fog has a man who has claimed her time as his. Each has its dangers but one might see her dead.

Steampunk is not my favorite genre. That said, I got caught up in the mystery, intrigue and well drawn protagonist set in a well written world that mirrored historical values. I will look forward to the series. The reader will find an enjoyable world for their reading pleasure. Enjoy. ~~ Pam Allan
