The Trilisk Hunt (Parker Interstellar Travels)
by Michael McCloskey
CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform, $12 trade paperback, $3 Kindle, 280pp
Publication Date: September 7, 2013
This is the fourth book in the Parker Interstellar Travels series. It began with The Trilisk Ruins (2011) which introduces Telisa Relachik, a xenoarchaeologist who joins smugglers, only to encounter a deadly alien world. It continues with The Trilisk AI (2012) in which the group battle robots on the homeworld of their alien helper named Shiny. Third up is The Trilisk Supersedure (2012) with the group still pursuing ruins of the supposedly-extinct Trilisks on yet another world. In this fourth of the series, the group hunts a live Trilisk. The fifth installment is The Trilisk Revolution (2013) wherein Telisa learns that the Trilisks have infiltrated the government of Earth. The original Trilisks were three-sided creatures, but they have the tech to alter their bodies and take over human hosts. Fans of classic space-science fiction will be pleased, if you like a series where each novel is like a chapter leading into the next. ~~ Mike Griffin
