Doctor Who: City of Death
by Douglas Adams and James Goss
Ace, $26.95, 304pp
Published: October 2015
This is a novelization of the original (Tom Baker) Doctor Who TV episode which pits the Doctor and Romana against a time-traveling alien. Arriving in Paris for a holiday, the Doctor hopes to give Romana a taste of French life via the food and art of Paris. But a series of cracks in time quicky sees them having to deal with homemade time machines, the theft of the Mona Lisa, the resurrection of the Jagaroths, and the beginning, or possibly the end, of all life on Earth.
This was one of my favorite Tom Baker episodes and this novelization does not disappoint. ~~ Stephanie L Bannon
