Submission Guidelines

|
- If you are interested in submitting a short story for our consideration, please read the following very carefully. If you do not adhere to all the guidelines, your submission may not be considered.
- 1. Word length: 3000 maximum, no minimum
- 2. Format: electronic only (text, Word and WordPerfect)
- 3. Must be an original, unpublished story or essay
- 4. Fiction Theme: Fantasy, Science Fiction, Speculative Fiction, Gaming, Anime/Japanese pop culture
- 5. Essay Theme: any of the above plus Science or Social Issues that impact above listed genres
- 6. Be sure to proof your finished work for spelling and grammar. If the piece has not been proofed and contains a great number of errors, it will not be considered.
- 7. Open to both novice and published writers
- 8. There is no entry fee.
- 9. Deadline is the 10th of every month, postings are on the 15th of the month.
- 10. The writer retains all copyrights to the story, however, by submitting a story or essay for consideration you are granting Western Science Fiction Association (WesternSFA) dba The Nameless Zine the right to reproduce your story on our web site and/or in any subsequent publications WesternSFA may produce.
- 11. If you have original artwork (that you own) to accompany the story, we can accept it with the story.
- Your story will be reviewed by our panel of editors. We are not professional editors, publishers or writers. We do not offer writing critiques. We will simply judge submissions on the above rules plus readability - that is, if we enjoy it.
