Translucent Volume One
by Kazuhiro Okamoto
Dark Horse Manga, $9.95, 188pp
Release Date: July 18, 2007
Eighth grade student Shizuka Shiroyama has a strange disorder called The Translucent Syndrome. At times, parts of her body mysteriously disappear as if she was invisible. The pains and problems of being a young kid with this "sickness" is not all hopeless when her artist classmate and friend, Mamoru Tadami, helps her out in his own way to support her. Yet, there will be others who will help as well.

Surprisingly good. Shizuka grows with her friends and classmates.

Recommends to fans of underdogs and/or uplifting manga stories. ~~ Jeffrey Lu
