Ruddy is back in this sequel to The Midnight Plan of the Repo Man (click here for review). Life was finally looking up, he has a beautiful fiancé, Katie, a pretty good job repossessing cars, good friends and a lovable, if lazy, dog named Jake.  But suddenly everything seems to be going wrong - Katie wants to take a break, his job is in jeopardy and worst of all, his new psychiatrist insists he take his medication or risk violating his parole. With the threat of returning to prison looming over his head, a woman appears and tells him that the crime he was convicted of may well have been a big lie. As he begins to investigate he finds himself missing the voice of his deceased almost-father-in-law, Alan. Soon, Alan is back as the investigation turns up a corrupt banker, a possible serial killer and more importantly: the chance to exonerate Ruddy of the crime for which he went to prison.

Once again Cameron delivers a top-notch story. The characters and the setting just make us want more. I can’t wait for the third in the series. ~~ Stephanie L Bannon
