Dead Letter Days sees Eric, Casey and the others living in a lodge in northern British Columbia, where a message in a bottle leads to a cold case that will have Eric finally grappling with his past and preparing to move into his future with Casey.

After the dismantling of Rockton, Eric, Casey and most of the others are holed up in a lodge while planning for their new town. While Eric and Casey look into a cold case disappearance from 30 years earlier Eric also has to finally confront the truth about his adoptive and biological parents.

This book was a change of pace as it is totally from Eric’s viewpoint. We finally learn the truth of how Eric, as a child, was taken from the forest and his biological parents and why his bio-parents did not come and take him from his adoptive parents. It is a nice bridge from the Rockton series to Ms Armstrong’s new series with these characters, Haven’s Rock.  Recommended ~~ Stephanie L Bannon
