WSFA Quarterly General Meeting
Meeting began 7:05 pm
In attendance: Ray Gish, Stephanie Bannon, Bob LaPierre, Rick Andrews, Catherine Book, Craig Dyer, Gary Swaty, Lori LaPierre, Mike Wilmoth, Wally Sanville, Kim Martin, Dawn Mullan
1) Minutes from last meeting read and approved.
2) Treasurer's report: $7084.46
3) Discussed whether to keep elections annual or staggered. Approved for annual, subject to change later.
4) Committee Report for Westercon:
We have new people in committee positions
5) Committee Report for ConRunners:
2/08/03: 12 attendees, $180.00, expenses = $240.00
The topics were Registration and Burnout.
Discussed option of changing dates - tabled until October.
Next ConRunners scheduled for June 14th
Programming will be either: Security, Ops, GOH
Second topic with discussion of Leprecon
Stephanie will do event coordination
Gary will be Banker & Registration
Stephanie will check with Sunspree on rates
Discussed ad options: timing is bad for ConNotations. We will have ad in Leprecon Program Book and flyers.
6) Discussed AZ Convention table and how to coordinate between Con Chairs. Stephanie volunteered to organize staffing.
7) Election of Board Directors:
Old Directors: Craig Dyer, Ray Gish, Stephanie Bannon, Gary Swaty and Rick Anderson.
Rick Anderson chose not to renew. The remaining four were approved to keep.
Catherine Book voted onto Board.

$79.00 to IRS 2001 Federal Taxes
$10.00 to corporation filing
$150.00 to IRS for 501(c) 3 filing

Room rate is up to $125 a nite.

Stephanie was unable to find time to contact Sunspree. She will try to do it for the October session.
There will be an ad in July ConNotations.

4) Arizona Conventions table schedule
Kim asked for table sitting commitments. Stephanie will design a control sheet and get copy to Kim. Kim will attend DarkOnes meeting and Lep29 meeting to find volunteers. Kim will make sure we have complete rate sheets.
5) New Business:
Carlos & Christy want to pitch a Japanese anime convention and ask WSFA to sponsor in 2005. Formal proposal at August WSFA meeting.
6) Stephanie was no longer disappointed at lack of fruit salad.
7) Next Quarterly Meeting scheduled for August 1st, 6-7 pm.

4) New Business:
We need a new website provider for www.westernSFA.org. Cost may go up to $120.00.
Approved.
Ray will write a check for $150.00 which includes the set-up fee.
5) Next Quarterly Meeting scheduled for November 7 or 8, depending on CASFS schedule.
