Meeting began 7:10 pm

1) Minutes from last meeting read and approved. Minutes for this meeting will be emailed.
2) Treasurer’s report: $2353.61 balance
Plus $100 from ConRunners 10/03 (15 memberships less expenses)
Expenses: $30 for Book Festival booth, $30 for ad in ConNotations, $48 for PO box, $50 for books to Pappas school

will do flyers. New flyers and poster will be used at Lep30 also.
6) All Board members and Procedural Officers were re-elected.
7) Next Quarterly Meeting scheduled for May 14th at 7pm at Craig & Stephanie’s.

Question: Do Guest Speakers get in event for free? Answer: No.
New Business:
4) Future events for WSFA.
Discusssed possible future events: smaller social events (i.e. bowling, movies), ice cream social (maybe raise money for Pappas school). Stephanie will look into contacting Harkins for a Movie Day. Catherine will talk to Pappas school about events that we could sponsor, perhaps at slower times of year when they don’t get public support.
Catherine will contact VNSA – how many hours do we need to contribute to get our name on their banner?
Once we decide on an event, we’ll appoint an Event Committee.
5) Discussed appointing Dawn Mullan as our Public Relations Officer. She will create a Press Release and post to website. She will also create a Media Packet and will be ready to contact press when an event is scheduled.

6) Next Quarterly Meeting scheduled for November 13th at 7pm at Craig & Stephanie’s.
