WesternSFA is a 501(c)3, educational non-profit organization that is dedicated primarily to educational activities relating to literature, music, and visual and performing arts, especially in the genres of science fiction, fantasy, costuming, gaming and science. These educational activities may include, but are not restricted to, conventions, seminars, and classes. We currently sponsor the annual CoKoCon conventions and an on-line newszine, The Nameless Zine, featuring book and movie reviews. In the past we have sponsored ConRunners meetings, AcrossPlus (an Anime club), AniZona (Anime convention), RandomCon (Gaming convention), and ConKopelli (Westercon 57) in 2004.

General Meetings are held at least once per quarter on the first Friday of February, May, August and November unless the membership approves a change of date.

Applicants for membership in WesternSFA must be sponsored by a current active WesternSFA member. Each prospective member shall pay a $5 non-refundable application fee and $10 yearly dues at the time membership is applied for. You may send your application and payment via Paypal Please note the name of the member who sponsored you in the Sponsor field

If the Board rejects the application, the applicant is rejected and may not reapply again for 4 regular meetings (1 year). If the Board approves the application, the applicant becomes a General or Organizational member effective with the next regular meeting of WesternSFA.
