OVERALL JOB

The Convention Office is the central point of contact for staff and attendees at con. The Office remains open around the clock from Thursday noon until Sunday 9PM

PRE-CON

Examines site to determine what signs will be needed and where they will be placed
Coordinates with area heads on signs needed for individual areas
Creates signs and brings them to con
Coordinates with area heads on office supply needs (pens, paper, gaffer tape, masking tape etc)
Purchases office supplies
Creates sign out sheet for supplies

AT-CON

Distributes office supplies
Hangs signs
Answers phone - phone calls will run from hotel needing to contact Hotel Liaison to potential attendees with questions on what is going on. It is suggested that a “script” of basic info be provided to stay beside the phone
Keeps a phone log of all incoming and outgoing calls (who called and what type of call)
On Sunday retrieves all distributed supplies as areas are finished using them and repacks Ops box neatly for Logistics to pick up
On Sunday after con ends - removes all signs.

POST-CON

Returns unopened, unused supplies for refund
