PUBLICATIONS

Needs:

Computer and Internet Access
Desktop publishing program (PageMaker, Publisher, InDesign)
Organizational Skills
Ability to meet deadlines
Patience
Time Needed Pre-Con - 1-4 hours weekly
Time Needed At-Con - None

OVERALL JOB DESCRIPTION

Publications is responsible for all printed matter except signs

PRE-CON

In coordination with Promotions and Advertising, creates flyers for distribution. This may include several versions of the current flyer for different focus groups
Provides master of the flyer to Promotions and Advertising
Creates Program book
Contacts P&A to confirm all ads to be included - sold or traded
Contacts Industry to confirm all ads for sponsors
Contacts Guest Liaison for guest bios and pictures
Contacts Programming for all program material (schedule, panel names and descriptions, program participant names and bios)
Contacts all other committee people for “blurb” for their areas.
Creates site map
Gathers filler art and the waivers to use it
Creates program book and sends it to printer
Arranges for delivery of program book to site on Thursday of convention

AT-CON

None

POST-CON

Prepares 3 copies of a report including a sample of each publication created. Copies go to current convention Banker, archives and historian
