Needs:

Computer and Internet Access
Organizational Skills
People Skills
Patience
A staff of at least 4 people
Time Needed Pre-Con - 1-2 hours weekly
Time Needed At-Con - 4-8 hours daily

Overall Job Description

The Volunteer Liaison recruits volunteers for the various areas of the convention

PRE-CON:

Interfaces with committee to determine area needs and schedules
Interfaces with potential volunteers to determine their preferences.
Creates a list of volunteers and their contact info
Creates an overall schedule
Collects volunteer waivers

AT-CON:

Answers volunteer questions
Assigns volunteers where needed
Checks daily with committee people to see if area needs have changed
Collects volunteer waivers
Distributes at con perks (T-shirts, meal tickets)
Distributes volunteer ribbons

POST-CON:

Creates volunteer list - the names of all committee, staff and volunteers - and the hours they worked so that a pass thru list can be created.
Creates a volunteer database so volunteers can be contacted for any post-con events
