Green room must work closely with Head of Programing as they often share the same space. Green room provides upscale snacks and beverages for the program participants and, if space permits, a relaxing area for the program participants to gather and meet before their panel in order to discuss how they wish to handle it.
Since you and your staff will be interacting closely with the guests and panel participants you need to recruit staff that is polite and not going to fawn all over the guests.


Coordinates with head of Programming to ascertain guest and program participant requests and allergies
Acquires upscale food service equipment
Creates menu of “finger foods” that are pleasing to look at and filling
Buys food
Transports all food to convention site unless other arrangements have been made


Serve food
Keep room clean
Be pleasant
Change out food often so it looks nice and doesn't spoil and make people sick
Clean and dry all equipment prior to packing on Sunday night


Prepare a report on which food worked and which did not
Distribute opened items to staff
Return unused food for refund
